Congratulations to Claira Hays for winning the high point award for 2016. Claira received a beautiful plaque for her efforts. Ten others received points for their efforts.
Any HMHC Youth Member can earn points by participating in a number of ways such as handing out ribbons at shows, participating in community projects with Miniature Horses, showing your horse at the various horse shows, and more. Point letters are available on the club site "Youth Page" or you can contact your youth leaders asking for a form. All Youth point letters must be turned in each year by the date set by the youth leaders in order to receive points credit.
Youth are encouraged to invite friends to be part of meetings and more if they have an interest in Miniature Horses & being a youth club member. Contact your youth leaders to let them know how many guests you would be bringing to any event.
The club youth will have many opportunities to get involved in youth activities in 2017. There will be a youth meeting on 4/15/17 at the Hays' farm. Kat Rodriquez will demonstrate how she does her horse therapy.
Heartland Classic will be from to 6/16, 6/17 and 6/18/17 at the State fair grounds in Hutchinson.
There will be a community show on 8/5/17 at Bob and Jane Ramshaw's farm near Williamsburg, Kansas. We will have a great time trying new things and showing our horses. The public will be invited to bring their youth to watch and pet the horses. The State Fair show will be Saturday 9/9/17 in Hutchinson. This is a great show to get involved with your horse. See you all soon.
Let's have a wonderful 2017 building friendships, learning more about the miniature horse
and participating in the club events. Send John or Janet any special things you are doing
with your mini so we can share with others.
